This is my brother's creation. It might have born because of the bachelor desperation known as missing Mom’s food or the health freakiness
he had adopted during the bachelor days. Whatever the reason, this is one of
those dishes which can be prepared in ten minutes and has earned good
certificate from my otherwise anti mushroom hubby. You know mine (hubby)
belongs to that kind who will cringe his face whenever there is mushroom,
spinach and greens in the trolley, forever convinced that I am trying to
convert him to a cow. Now another finding about this particular genus is that
they love salads and consume it in loads whenever and wherever available. Even
going to the extent of paying for a bunch uncooked leaves. About the cowiness,
now that needs to be discussed in another post.
Ingredients
2 cup sliced mushroom
½ onion sliced thinly
3 green chillies sliced
½ teaspoon turmeric
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
Oil 1 tablespoon
Instructions
Take a pan and heat the oil. Once it is hot add the slice
onion, green chilli ,turmeric and sauté till it is translucent.
Add mushroom and salt and keep stirring it. Do not add water
since mushrooms will release water on its own.
Keep stirring till all the water dries. Add pepper and give
a final sauté till everything comes together. Enjoy with rice or chapathi.
Always,
Teena
